Apple Services Engineering Infrastructure team is building the next generation of platforms that empower Apple engineers to create products our customers love. We're a fast-paced, highly skilled team designing and delivering a suite of infrastructure and platform services. Description Apple Services Engineering is seeking an outstanding leader to guide the industry's brightest minds in building and operating large-scale distributed systems that power Apple's storage and database platforms. In this role, you will take on unique challenges across big data, high-volume and low-latency services, and highly available transactional systems. You will lead and grow teams responsible for developing core software, building automated tests, and driving release and reliability engineering for systems that scale to billions of users and petabytes of data. Your teams will leverage state-of-the-art technologies to automate and optimize infrastructure across multiple platforms. We are looking for a collaborative and innovative leader who thrives under tight deadlines, excels at solving complex problems and consistently delivers high-quality, forward-thinking solutions. This role reports to a senior leader in Virtualized Infrastructure and Service Delivery within Apple Services Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the lower layers of the storage software stack (filesystems, block devices, SSDs).
• Experience with NoSQL technologies such as Cassandra, Redis, Solr, or Voldemort.
• Prior experience developing distributed databases or large-scale storage systems.
• BS/MS in Computer Science and Engineering or related field
