Job summary

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking software engineers to join the WLAN Host Software team. You will design and develop WLAN host drivers for Qualcomm WLAN chipsets, coordinating with hardware and firmware teams to deliver an end-to-end wireless LAN solution.

The role requires strong C programming skills and hands-on experience with Linux kernel drivers, plus familiarity with interfaces such as USB, MII, and PCIe. A background in networking or WLAN protocols is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field plus 2+ years of software engineering experience.
• Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 1+ year of software engineering experience.
• PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop WLAN host drivers for Qualcomm WLAN chipsets.
• Collaborate with Hardware and Firmware teams to build end-to-end WLAN solutions.

Software engineers in the WLAN Host Software team work on designing and developing WLAN Host Drivers for Qualcomm WLAN chipsets. This may also involve working with Hardware and Firmware engineers to put the complete wireless LAN end to end solution together.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
• Bachelor's in Computer Science/Electronics/Electrical Engineering
• 2-7 years of experience in WLAN driver or Networking driver or Networking/WLAN protocol development
• Hands on experience working in the Linux kernel & Linux kernel device drivers.
• Strong C programming skills
• Hands on experience in solving complex system issues with good problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Good WLAN 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be knowledge would be a strong plus
• Hands on experience in Wireless LAN driver development is preferred
• Knowledge of common interfaces, such as USB, MII, PCI/e would be a plus
• Good knowledge of basic network protocols such as TCP/UDP/IPv4/IPv6/ARP/DHCP will be plus
