Job summary

Qualcomm India Private Limited in Bengaluru seeks a senior software engineer to join the Wi-Fi Access Point networking data path team. You will tackle performance and complexity barriers across network stacks, drivers, and offload mechanisms.

You will work on protocols, AI/ML based traffic management, on‑chip AI accelerators, and open‑flow interfaces, collaborating with global teams to deliver next‑ generation wireless LAN solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of software engineering experience or higher degrees with applicable experience.
• Experience in C/C++ for networking, Linux device drivers, or embedded software.
• Knowledge of Ethernet/WLAN device drivers and Linux networking stack is a plus.
• Proficiency in TCP/UDP/IPv4/IPv6/ARP/DHCP/VLANs and network forwarding concepts.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills; global collaboration ability.
• 2+ years with C/C++, Java, Python; familiarity with various software architectures.

Responsibilities

• Development, release and maintenance of network stack and network offload features.
• Resolve performance bottlenecks and contribute to pre/post-silicon software efforts.
• Collaborate with peer teams to define scalable interfaces.
• Support top-tier product launches and deployments with deep networking expertise.

You will be working on networking protocols, unified data paths, AI/ML based smart traffic management, AI middleware managing on-chip AI inference accelerators, network device drivers, network offload mechanisms to SW and HW accelerators, Quality of Service and other features across the range of our industry leading wireless access point router solutions. You will be solving challenges related to packet flow, service delivery, traffic management, performance, mapping of packet processing to various HW offload/CPU options and many more.
