We are seeking a senior structural engineer who will be able to help us grow our design team in structures department with their technical expertise with having worked on overseas projects to international codes. You should have led buildings projects with multiple typologies from concept to detailed design stage. Your duty will be to design and manage UK projects from India (Gurgaon) while liaising with virtual team across the country and in the UK.

You must have a master’s degree in structures from an institute of repute. Experience of around 4-6 years but not necessarily in number of years but in developing ways of working in a structural-design- team though the lessons learned over years of practice. Basic knowledge of how either of ETABS, ROBOT, or TEKLA structural designer (TSD) work and working with MS excel will be required. Revit, and AUTOCAD basics will be added advantages. In depth knowledge of in-situ Concrete and Steel work design, commercial acumen and people managing skills are the qualities we are looking for.

Required knowledge and skills

1. Good understanding of Reinforced Concrete and Steel structures.
2. Knowledge of engineering techniques and design calculation principles.
3. Hands on experience of design tools like Strusoft FEM, IdeaStatica, Robot, etc.
4. Knowledge of applicable codes and standards preferably international codes like Eurocodes.
5. Experience in projects related to Buildings/Industrial steel structures.
6. Basic understanding of Revit and Tekla is beneficial.
7. Ensure designs comply within international and local standards (e.g., Eurocodes, ACI, IS Codes, BS Codes).

REC focusses on providing global expertise using local resources from India. Facilitates cooperation between India, business units in Europe and the Middle East specifically for the Buildings, Transport and Water sectors.

• Experience in analysis, design and detailing of RCC and steel structures.
• Excellent communication skills - written and oral.
• Ability to collaborate and work in large and diverse project teams.
• Experience in Eurocodes is preferred.
