Job summary

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) in India seeks a Quality Assurance professional with strong experience in valve industry and exposure to foundry/forge shop processes. Knowledge of ASTM/ASME standards and welding methods is essential.

The role involves QA inspections, NCR control, supplier evaluations, and implementation of continual improvement. SAP R3 QC experience is advantageous for process integration.

Qualifications

• Experience in Valve Industry.
• Exposure in Foundry, Forge Shop processes.
• Exposure in ASTM/ASME codes and standards.
• Exposure in Welding Processes (SMAW, PTAW, SAW, TIG).
• SAP R3 Exposure in Quality Control Module.

Responsibilities

• Product Inspection, Testing and Final Product acceptance as per customer requirement.
• Non-Destructive Evaluation and Qualification at various stages of mfg.
• Control of Non-Conforming Products.
• Corrective and Preventive Actions through investigation, analysis, and audits.
• Vendor Evaluation, Re-evaluation, and approval (Subcontract and Bought Out components).
• Organize Quality Documentation as per ITP/Internal Procedure requirements.
• Coordinate Second Party Inspection agencies and organize inspection at supplier end as per TDC / Drawing / ITP.
• Auditing of Processes and Products.
• Analysis of customer complaints for product and process improvements.
• Updating, as necessary, of Quality Control Inspection and Testing techniques including the development of new instrumentation.
• Initiating action to prevent non-conformities related to product, process and Quality System and recommending solutions.
• Maintaining Product Identification, Traceability, and status.
• Identifying Training needs.
• Implementation of Quality Objectives and Continual Improvement.
