Job summary

Teleflo Instruments is seeking an experienced Quality Control Engineer in Chennai to oversee valve inspection, dimensional verification, and material testing. You will verify components such as valve Bodies, bonnets, nozzles, and discs, and ensure compliance with API 527, API 598 and ASME standards.

You will prepare inspection plans, reports, and quality documentation while coordinating with inspectors and customers. Experience with GD&T and reading drawings is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of API 527 and API 598.
• Familiarity with ASME standards.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience with dimensional inspection and quality records.

Responsibilities

• Conduct incoming, in-process and final inspections.

• Witness hydrostatic, pneumatic, and seat leakage tests.
• Maintain calibration records for measuring instruments.

• Prepare NCRs and assist with corrective actions.
• Support ASME UV quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct incoming material, in-process and final inspections.
• Verify dimensional accuracy of valve bodies, bonnets, nozzles, discs and other components.
• Review Material Test Certificates and ensure material traceability.
• Prepare Inspection and Test Plans, inspection reports and quality documentation.
• Witness and record hydrostatic, pneumatic, set pressure and seat leakage tests.
• Maintain calibration records for measuring instruments and pressure gauges.
• Coordinate with third-party inspectors and customers during inspections.
• Prepare NCRs and assist with corrective actions.
• Support implementation of ASME UV quality requirements.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of API 527, API 598 and applicable ASME standards.
• Familiarity with vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges and other measuring instruments.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Knowledge of dimensional inspection, testing and quality records.
• Preferred: Experience in industrial valve or pressure relief valve Manufacturing
