Job summary

Ecoguard, part of the Aquiora Group, is seeking a Senior Engineer - Projects to lead end-to-end execution of STP/ETP/WTP and contaminated-site remediation in Kerala. You will coordinate across design teams, vendors and authorities ensuring project outcomes meet safety, quality and regulatory standards.

You will drive planning, scheduling, contract administration and performance testing, with exposure to EIA/EC/PCB approvals and multi-disciplinary engineering coordination.

Position Summary:

Role Title : Senior Engineer - Projects (Immediate Joining)

Engagement Type : Full-time, entire project duration (~5-6 years, pre-award & post-monitoring)

Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience in the execution, coordination, or management of Water and Wastewater Treatment Projects

Role Overview:

You will act as the single point of contact for the entire assignment, from the DPR stage to the final performance-monitoring cycle five years later. You will be responsible for overall coordination, serving as the primary interface with KSPCB, and ensuring end-to-end accountability for the PMCs performance across tendering, remediation of all four environmental media - soil, sediment, surface water, and groundwater as well as the ETP. In addition, you will support our other projects, particularly in regulatory compliance (EIA/EC/PCB approvals), design, engineering, implementation of STP/ETP and air & noise control solutions, and overall project coordination.

This is a leadership-track opportunity with significant growth potential.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Execution & Coordination

• Lead and coordinate execution of STP, ETP, WTP, environmental infrastructure, and contaminated-site remediation projects, including the Eloor PMC assignment end-to-end coordination
• Coordinate with design teams, vendors, contractors, clients, Reference Organisations, and regulatory authorities (KSPCB, CPCB, local bodies, etc.)
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, quality requirements, and commissioning activities
• Ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining compliance with applicable standards, tender conditions and client specifications

2. Technical & Coordination

• Design and review treatment process designs, PFDs, P&IDs, GA drawings, and technical specifications
• Coordinate civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation activities
• Review BOQs, technical schedules, procurement requirements, and vendor/contractor submissions, including method statements, QA/QC plans and safety plans
• Verify measurements and executed works against approved drawings and design conditions

3. Compliance & Documentation

• Liaise with Pollution Control Boards, local authorities, consultants, and statutory agencies as required, including for EIA/EC/PCB approvals and remediation-specific statutory obligations
• Ensure project documentation, progress reporting (weekly/monthly), and quality records are maintained
• Support environmental compliance, commissioning reports, non-conformance closeout, and client/regulatory documentation requirements
• On the Eloor project: certify running account and final bills, and maintain the documentation trail required for KSPCB and CPCB submissions

Candidate Profile:

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 5 years of experience in project execution/coordination roles on environmental infrastructure (STP/ETP/WTP)

Demonstrated experience working in Kerala or South India

Proven exposure to STP, ETP, WTP, environmental infrastructure, MEP works, or related sectors

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

B.E./B.Tech in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Master's preferred)

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

Water and wastewater treatment systems

Engineering drawings, layouts, and technical specifications

Project management - planning, scheduling, and contract administration

Commissioning and performance testing of treatment systems
