Job summary

Valmet Flow Control Private Limited is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to lead daily production operations and guide a team of 15+ employees. You will drive productivity, quality, safety, and continuous improvement with strong people leadership.

You will work with Planning and Quality to solve operational challenges and ensure targets are achieved. The role requires hands-on leadership on the shop floor, exposure to ERP/M3, and experience with Kaizen, 5S, and Kanban to deliver

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of relevant production or manufacturing experience.
• Experience supervising shop floor teams and production operations.
• Experience with production reporting, MIS, and ERP/M3 transactions.
• Knowledge of Kaizen, 5S, and Kanban for continuous improvement.
• Experience managing quality issues, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Strong workplace safety knowledge, including HIRA activities and work permits.

Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor daily production line operations, ensuring targets are met.

Lead Production Operations and Drive Continuous Improvement as Senior Production Engineer

Your responsibilities

• Lead and monitor daily production line operations, ensuring compliance with plant policies, procedures, and production targets.
• Supervise a production team of more than 15 employees, including work allocation, shift planning, rotations, overtime coordination, and absence coverage.
• Drive productivity improvements through Kaizen activities, multiskilling initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.
• Monitor production performance, prepare MIS reports, track costs, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Record and report daily production activities in ERP/M3 and maintain accurate production documentation.
• Partner with Planning, Quality, and other cross‑functional teams to resolve day‑to‑day operational challenges.
• Ensure products meet quality requirements, investigate quality concerns, prepare quality reports, and lead root cause analysis activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and disciplined shop floor by implementing Health & Safety standards, HIRA activities, risk observations, and work permit processes.
• Support implementation of operational excellence initiatives, including 5S, Kanban (2-bin system), and assembly shop Kaizens.
• Develop team capability through training plans, skills development activities, and participation in new product development and shop improvement projects.

Expectations from you

• You have 4-5 years of relevant production or manufacturing experience.
• You have experience supervising production operations and leading shop floor teams.
• You have experience with production reporting, MIS preparation, and ERP/M3 transactions.
• You have knowledge of productivity improvement methodologies such as Kaizen, 5S, and Kanban.
• You have experience managing quality issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
• You have strong understanding of workplace safety practices, HIRA activities, risk observation processes, and work permit systems.
• You have experience coordinating with cross‑functional teams such as Planning and Quality.
• You have experience training and developing workmen to enhance skills and performance.
• You can effectively manage machinery breakdowns, production challenges, and operational issues.
• You have experience working in a unionized environment.
