Job Summary
The Planner will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and controlling integrated project schedules in line with approved planning methodologies. The role involves critical path analysis, progress monitoring, variance and delay analysis, and preparation of insightful planning reports to support management decision‑making. The Planner will closely coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure schedule integrity, identify risks, and propose recovery strategies to achieve project milestones.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project schedules based on defined planning methodology, including schedule basis, assumptions, exclusions, and coding structures.
- Establish and manage schedule baselines in alignment with contract requirements and project controls standards.
- Perform Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis and continuously monitor critical and near‑critical activities.
- Conduct delay analysis, impact assessments, and evaluate schedule changes and claims.
- Propose schedule crashing, fast‑tracking, and recovery strategies to mitigate delays and support milestone achievement.
- Perform schedule variance analysis against baseline and previous updates, identifying root causes and trends.
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly planning reports highlighting progress, risks, critical path movement, productivity, and recovery recommendations.
- Lead and facilitate schedule review workshops with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure realistic and achievable schedules.
- Validate contractor schedules, progress updates, and reports, identifying discrepancies and non‑compliances.
- Support management with planning insights, scenario analysis, and forecast completion assessments.
- Ensure compliance with project planning standards, contractual requirements, and reporting protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Civil / Electrical / Industrial or relevant discipline).
- Certification in Project Planning / Project Management (Primavera P6, PMP, PSP, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Experience: 7+ years of relevant experience in project planning and scheduling within EPC, industrial construction, semiconductor fabs, infrastructure, or large‑scale projects.
- Technical Skills & Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory).
- Working knowledge of MS Project, Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, dashboards), and PowerPoint.
- Experience in developing schedule basis documents, WBS, and coding structures.
- Expertise in Critical Path Analysis (CPM), delay analysis, and recovery planning techniques.
- Understanding of productivity measurement, progress curves (S‑curves), and forecasting.
- Familiarity with contract scheduling requirements and claim support documentation.
