Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 6–10 years of experience to lead design of Plumbing and Fire Fighting systems for data centers and hospitality projects in a global team. The role requires Revit proficiency and familiarity with international standards.

Experience with NFPA/ME codes, exposure to international markets, and a PE license are desirable. Hybrid work model with in-office days per week is offered.

Qualifications

• Master of Engineering degree in an appropriate engineering discipline.
• 6-10 years of relevant experience in GDC type environments.
• Experience in retail and hospitality projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with international codes such as NFPA and ME codes.
• Proficiency with Revit and energy modeling tools.
• PE license is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
• Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established procedures.
• Works on detailed or routine engineering calculations and tests.
• Proposes approaches to problems using modifications of standard methods.
• Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
• Completes primary design elements independently within budget and schedule.

Job Description

• Candidate must be Graduate in Mechanical Engineering
• Candidate should be well versed in Design of Plumbing & Fire fighting with total experience of minimum 6 years
• Data Centers and Healthcare experience will be added advantage
• Relevant experience working in GDC type of environment is preferable
• Candidate should have good experience in Revit
• Experience in UK will be added advantage.
• Candidate should have awareness of International Codes like NFPA, ME codes, IPC etc
• Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
• Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
• Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
• Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
• Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
• Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
• Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design

elements for engineering works.

• Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.
• Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following Qualifications:

• Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
• 6-10 years of relevant experience in GDC type of environment.
• Experience in retail and hospitality medium to large projects.
• Should be well versed with ASHRAE/CIBSE/NFPA standards and regulations.
• Should have experience in commercial, residential, datacenter, and infrastructure projects from different geographies - Middle East, USA, Canada, ANZ Region.
• Candidate should be well versed with International Fire Codes like NFPA and ME Codes
• Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
• Strong knowledge of energy modeling software (e.g., eQUEST, EnergyPlus, or IES-VE).
