Job summary

AECOM is seeking a HVAC Design Engineer with 5-7 years of experience to join our Building Engineering team in Gurugram. You will contribute to data centers and healthcare projects, using Carrier HAP and IES-VE for energy modeling, and coordinate with architecture, structure, and electrical disciplines.

You'll work on concept through construction documentation in a hybrid work environment, leveraging Revit MEP, AutoCAD, NavisWorks, and Revizto to deliver compliant, sustainable designs for

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 5-7 years of HVAC design experience, preferably in a GDC/Engineering Consultancy.
• Experience with Data Centers and Healthcare projects preferred.
• Proficiency in Carrier HAP for heating/cooling load calculations is mandatory.
• Knowledge of energy modeling tools (IES-VE) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare HVAC designs for data centers and healthcare facilities.
• Perform load calculations and system sizing; select equipment.
• Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, Electrical and Fire Protection disciplines.
• Support project delivery from Concept Design through Detailed Design and Construction Documentation.
• Work on international projects with multidisciplinary teams.

Job Description

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5-7 years of HVAC design experience, preferably in a GDC/Engineering Consultancy environment.
• Experience in Data Centers and/or Healthcare projects preferred.
• Proficient in Carrier HAP for heating and cooling load calculations (mandatory).
• Knowledge of IES-VE for energy modeling and sustainability analysis (preferred).
• Experience in HVAC design including: Chilled water systems Airside systems Ventilation systems Pressurization and smoke management systems
• Good understanding of ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and international design standards.
• Working knowledge in Revit MEP and AutoCAD, Navis Works, Revizto.
• Experience in equipment selection, HVAC calculations, duct and pipe sizing, specifications, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection disciplines.
• Support project delivery from Concept Design through Detailed Design and Construction Documentation.
• Experience working on international projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while supporting senior engineers and project leads.
