Job summary

Copeland in Pune, India, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for embedded hardware and electronics projects within the R&D team. You will work on High Voltage and mixed-signal circuits, AC-DC and DC-DC power supplies, and microcontroller-based controls for motor protection applications.

The role requires extensive PCB CAD experience (Cadence, Altium, CADSTAR), footprint creation, and strong collaboration with global teams.

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering with PCB CAD design and 8-10 years of relevant experience.
• Expert in using Cadence (HDL & CIS) and Altium PCB Suite Tools.
• Experience in creating footprints and component library management in Cadence.
• Good in drafting and communicating layout/gerbers packages to PCB fabricators and should be able to present it to global team members.
• Quick in troubleshooting and working with mechanical design and cross functional teams.
• Follow IPC, UL/IEC, VDE design standards. Knowledge of soldering techniques.
• New Product Development process knowledge is a plus.
• Basic understanding of vibration, thermal & environmental test scenarios and best practices.

Job Description
