Job summary
Ramboll India seeks a Senior Engineer Pavement Design - Aviation to join the Aviation department and lead airfield infrastructure projects across India. You will design, review and supervise pavements and related facilities in collaboration with Ramboll colleagues worldwide.
You will be responsible for delivering technically sound solutions, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring compliance with ICAO/FAA/EASA and local standards while contributing to a growing aviation portfolio at Ramboll.
Qualifications
- Extensive track record delivering airfield infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering fundamentals and pavement design.
- Experience with aviation infrastructure standards and regulatory guidance.
- Ability to coordinate with contractors and resolve site queries.
- Familiarity with airport codes and standards is preferable.
- Analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Plan, design, managing and monitoring all activities related to aviation infrastructure.
- Provide technical leadership for airside and landside infrastructure, including runways, taxiways, aprons, aircraft stands, terminal developments, ground services, and access roads.
- Develop and review airfield geometric layouts, pavements, drainage, ensuring ICAO/FAA/EASA/IATA compliance.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders for relationships and project management.
- Prepare and develop systems to monitor and report activities to meet deadlines.

As our new Senior Engineer Pavements Desing, you will work with the team to deliver work in close collaboration with Ramboll colleagues based across the business. You will be part ofthe Aviation teamin India. You will work as part of a lively team, filled with people who are really excited about creating the solutions for the future. You will collaborate with your colleagues to play a critical role in defining and delivering projects.Based on a strong future pipeline of work we are now looking to expand the team. The role requires an inquisitive mind, capable of developing innovative and sustainable outcomes to support our clients.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Planning, design, managing andmonitoringall activities related to aviation infrastructure.
- Provide technical leadership for airside and landside infrastructure, including runways, taxiways, aprons,aircraftstands, terminal developments, ground support facilities, airport access roads, utility networks, and supporting infrastructure systems.
- Develop and review airfield geometric layouts, airside pavements,gradingand drainage systems, ensuring compliance with ICAO, FAA, EASA, IATA, and local aviation authority regulations.
- Client and stakeholder interactions,relationshipsand management.
- Prepare and develop a system wherein all activities aremonitoredand reported on a regular basis to ensure project deadlines.

- B.Tech/M.Techin Civil Engineering
- Specialization in Transportation / Pavement Engineering preferred
- Strong familiarity with specialized pavement analysis tools, CAD, and civil design software.
- Experience of working towards contractors and attended to site related queries
- Knowledgeofairport codes and standardsis preferable
- Good analytical skills and problem-solving techniques
