Job summary

Vertiv Co is seeking a Senior Engineer Mechanical with 5-6 years of CREO experience to join our design team in Pune. You will contribute to NPD, design for manufacturability, BOM creation, and CAD modelling of assemblies.

Key activities include developing 3D models, maintaining CO processes, working with PLM tools, and delivering robust mechanical designs for telecom/electrical enclosures. Strong communication and independence are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with exposure to design environment.
• 5-6 years of experience on CREO platform in Sheet metal domain is a must.
• Experience in 3D modelling and detailing with BOM generation and CO process.
• Working experience on PLM tools; Agile or PD clouds is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication; telecom/electrical enclosure design is a plus.
• Good interpersonal skills and fluent written/spoken English.
• Self-motivated, disciplined and eager to learn; able to work independently.
• Experience handling large CAD assemblies in CREO and managing modifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in Global Environment for Design Engineering support activities for NPD, VAVE and improvements.
• Perform concept design, NPD, BOMs, CAD modelling and detailing using Creo; process CO.
• Develop design packages with 3D models, assemblies, drawings, and BOM structures.
• Work independently with minimal guidance and adhere to PM processes.
• Support design reviews and ensure quality levels set by the organization.
• Handle large CAD assemblies and manage modifications as required.

Job Description:

• To work in Global Environment for Design Engineering support activities for New Product development, VAVE and Improvement projects.
• To Work on projects/assignments; short or long term; such as on Concept design, NPD, Bills of Materials, CAD Modelling & its detailing, using Creo Tool; & Change Orders to maintain desired quality levels set by organization.
• Work on design and developments of part/assembly & Provide design packages including 3D models, assemblies, drawings, and BOM structures.
• Must also be able to work independently with little guidance.
• Adherence to project management process set by organization.

Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each:

• Minimum bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with relevant exposure to design environment.
• 5-6 years of experience in CREO is preferable.
• Must have good working experience in 3D modelling and detailing work on Creo with experience on generating Bills of Materials. Should also possess relevant experience and understanding of CO process.
• Working experience on any PLM tools. Agile or PD clouds will be added advantage.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication process will be an added advantage.
• Experience on telecom/electrical enclosure design is added advantage.
• Good Interpersonal skills & ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, passionate, Willingness to learn and organized.
• Experience in handling large CAD assemblies in CREO and managing modifications as required.
• Working experience on External Simplified representation will be an added advantage.
