Responsibilities

• Develop in-house over molding capabilities for the Product Line parts manufacturing.
• Evaluate manufacturing processes through field research; apply product design, tooling, and materials knowledge; coordinate with quality, production, maintenance.
• Create mfg. process documentation for mold tools and mold presses.
• Perform design reviews, equipment inspection, validation, installation and debug for mold tools and presses.
• Set up standard manufacturing process for product line.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
• Lead and support mfg. engineering activities in coordination with the Mfg. strategy.
• Support cross Morse mfg. plants in continue improvement activities.
• Support GSM with molding issues at components suppliers.

Job description

The Senior Engineer – Manufacturing will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and implementing plastic injection molding manufacturing processes for new and existing products. The role involves process development, tooling and equipment integration, capacity planning, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure product quality, productivity, safety, and cost effectiveness. The incumbent will work closely with cross-functional and global teams to introduce new technologies, support new product launches, improve operational performance, and ensure compliance with BorgWarner standards and customer requirements.

• Develop in-house over molding capabilities for the Product Line parts manufacturing.
• Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting field research programs; applying knowledge of product design, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; coordination with other departments (quality, production, maintenance) and production floor.
• Create mfg. process documentation for mold tools and mold presses.
• Responsible to perform design reviews, equipment inspection, validation installation and debug for Mold tools, Mold presses and their peripherals.
• Set up standard manufacturing process for product line.
• Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout
• Lead and support mfg. engineering activities in coordination with the Mfg. strategy.
• Support cross Morse mfg. plants in continue improvement activities.
