Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. is seeking an automotive engineer focusing on emission, mileage and driveability targets for engines. The role involves engine optimization for CNG/LPG/Gasoline, calibration, and emission development.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust engine performance and compliance, execute engine DVPs, and manage day-to-day calibration activities with a project tracker.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine calibration and emission development.
• Knowledge of CNG/LPG/Gasoline engine optimization.
• Ability to plan daily calibration activities and maintain a project tracker.
• Strong root-cause analysis using structured problem solving techniques.
• Collaborative with cross-functional teams like Vehicle Integration, NVH, Electricals.

Responsibilities

• Responsible to meet the emission, mileage, driveability target of vehicle
• CNG/ LPG / Gasoline Engine Optimization involving activities like steady state performance and emission development
• CNG/ LPG / Gasoline Vehicle calibration involving vehicle emission development, vehicle calibration, drivability, environmental corrections, cold start and OBD
• Emission & Performance Robustness and homologation trials for engines type approval.
• Liason with CFT like Vehicle Integration, NVH, Electricals, Performance simulation, Engine development centre, Reliability and Service for engineering targets delivery.
• Analyse the issues arising out of test to confirm the design by root cause analysis of the problems / issues by using various problem solving techniques like Global 8D or other problem solving tools.
• To work with development engineer to finalise and execute the engine DVP.
• Plan for the day-today calibration activities and maintain a project tracker.
