Job summary

Quest Global Bengaluru invites an experienced CAE engineer specializing in structural analysis. You will lead FE analyses using Ansys and related tools to solve complex problems in metals, plastics and rubber.

This role requires translating problems into accurate simulation models, interpreting results, proposing improvements, and coordinating with global teams and customers. Strong leadership of 5–10 engineers, excellent communication, and adherence to standards are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of structural FE analysis experience using Ansys.
• Experience analyzing metals, plastics, sheet metals and rubber parts.
• Translate problems into FEA models and interpret results to propose solutions.
• Knowledge of EN standards for structures and weld assessments.

Responsibilities

• Translate real problems into FEA models and interpret results to propose optimal solutions.
• Support development of existing and new products across multiple programs.
• Coordinate with Global teams and Customer Tech Leads; participate in toll gates.
• Mentor and lead a team of 5–10 engineers; strengthen problem-solving and communication.

Job Requirements

• Should have sound knowledge in structural strength, fatigue, and vibration analysis with minimum of 8 years of experience in Ansys with Workbench (Ansys Classic experience is added advantage).
• Should have experience on perform structural analysis of metals, sheet metals, plastics and rubber components using suitable material models.
• Translate actual problem to FEA model, interpret analysis results & select best solution
• Knowledge on Transient analysis is an added advantage
• Should have knowledge on EN standards for assessment of structures and welds.
• Should be able to clearly articulate the desired changes/enhancements and meshing techniques
• Support development of existing and new products
• Experience of using NX Nastran / Simcenter is desirable.
• Having experience in Abaqus, ANSYS, MSC Nastran or similar CAE software is an added advantage.
• Experience with some or all the following CAE analysis techniques is desirable: Static, Dynamics – Modal, Random, Harmonic, Transient, Buckling, Hyper elastic analysis, mechanisms analysis, stress analysis and design optimization of industrial parts.
• Should have a good understanding of global design standards
• Good to have knowledge on castings, sheet metal parts manufacturing, machined parts manufacturing etc
• Knowledge on Railway products working will be added advantage. Knowledge in other industrial domain desired
• Support strategic planning and deployment of Engineers and coordinate with Technical Leads of Customer and present in Toll gates
