Job summary

Speed Global is seeking an experienced FEA engineer in Bengaluru to lead and support complex simulations using ANSYS Workbench and LS-Dyna. You will interface with customers, gather inputs for stress, vibration, durability and thermal analyses, and perform linear, non-linear and explicit analyses.

Strong grounding in materials, machine design, and vibration is required. The role involves reporting, documentation, and clear communication with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 3–6 years of experience in FEA projects using ANSYS.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech/B.E.).
  • Hands-on experience with ANSYS Workbench and ANSYS LS-Dyna.
  • Strong knowledge of strength of materials, machine design and vibration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support FEA projects using ANSYS / ANSYS-Workbench as per customer requirements.
  • Interface with customers and handle regular project communications.
  • Obtain inputs for stress, deformation, vibration, durability and thermal analyses.
  • Carry out input reviews; perform linear, non-linear and explicit analyses.
  • Conduct calculations from first principles and create Excel-based calculators if needed.
  • Interpret results and provide design recommendations considering manufacturing and cost.
  • Prepare clear technical documentation and reports.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.
  • Actively pursue self-development through formal and informal channels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support FEA projects using ANSYS / ANSYS-Workbench as per customer requirements. Interface with customer and take care of regular project communications with customer.
  • Obtain all required inputs for assessing the components and sub-systems for stress, deformation, vibration, durability and thermal performance.
  • Carry out Input review.
  • Understand and comprehend requirements, understand operating environment of the component and systems.
  • Carry out linear, non-linear Stress analysis and Explicit Analysis
  • Carry out analytical calculations using first principles / engineering fundamentals, perform sanity checks on analysis results, create MS-excel based calculators if required.
  • Interpret analysis results and provide appropriate design recommendations considering manufacturing, assembly and cost aspects. Resolve analysis related issues / convergence issues.
  • Prepare clear and concise technical documentation and reports.
  • Communicates effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.

  • Educational Qualification: B. Tech/B. E in mechanical engineering -
  • Good to have Tool Knowledge - ANSYS Workbench (Mechanical & Design Modeler/Space Claim) - Must with hands on experience. ANSYS (LS Dyna) skill is mandatory
  • Skills - Technical - Strong knowledge in strength of material, machine design, engineering mechanics & vibration.
  • FEA Skills: Understanding of load and boundary condition, expected experience in modal, static, fatigue (Assembly level analysis), explicit Analysis
