Job summary

Vertiv Co in Thane, Maharashtra is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 2-5 years of experience in liquid cooling and thermal management to own electrical architecture, power distribution, controls, sensors, and wiring.

You will produce wiring diagrams, maintain BOMs, qualify alternate suppliers, and support prototyping and validation of electrical panels while collaborating with global teams and ensuring compliance with CE/UL standards.

Qualifications

• Produce accurate electrical drawings and harness layouts based on requirements from stakeholders or customers.
• Develop, update and maintain BOMs for electrical components across product lines.
• Coordinate with vendors to identify, evaluate and qualify alternate supply sources.
• Provide hands-on engineering support during prototyping and production activities.
• Collaborate with Controls engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical and control systems.
• Interface with external certification bodies to drive product approvals and ensure compliance with applicable standards.

Responsible for the electrical and electronics engineering, including electrical architecture, power distribution, controls, sensors, wiring, and system integration.

Key Responsibilities :

• Sound knowledge of electrical components commonly used in Pumps, VFDs, Fans, Transformers, SMPS, Relays, Actuators, PLC systems, and Sensors.
• Hands-on experience in electrical component selection and qualification of alternate vendor components.
• Ability to support prototype development and validation of electrical panel assemblies.
• Working knowledge of international electrical safety and compliance standards, including CE and UL.
• Understanding of electrical and control component integration principles.
• Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) processes and tools, including BOM creation and Engineering Change management.

Technical skill sets :

Proficiency in electrical engineering drawing tools such as EPLAN, Solid Edge, or Creo is preferred.

Demonstrated ability to develop wiring diagrams and harness designs.

• Sound knowledge of electrical components commonly used in Pumps, VFDs, Fans, Transformers, SMPS, Relays, Actuators, PLC systems, and Sensors.
• Hands-on experience in electrical component selection and qualification of alternate vendor components.
