Job summary

Danfoss Power Electronics and Drives Segment in India seeks a Senior ECAD Engineer to design schematics and PCB layouts for next-generation power electronics products. Based at the Oragadam (Chennai) Campus, you will work with cross-functional teams to balance performance, manufacturability, quality, and compliance from design through validation.

You will apply Cadence Allegro, Capture, and Sigrity to deliver high-quality, compliant designs and drive layout improvements across programs,

Qualifications

• Experience in ECAD schematic design and PCB layout within a product development environment.
• Knowledge of PCB/PCBA manufacturing processes, design rules, and engineering standards.
• Proficiency with ECAD tools and the ability to interpret schematics and ensure design quality.

As our Sr.Engineer ECAD, you will help shape the next generation of power electronics and drive technologies used by customers worldwide. Your expertise in schematic capture and PCB layout will directly contribute to creating reliable, high-quality products that support smarter and more energy-efficient solutions.

Based at our Oragadam (Chennai) Campus, India, you will work with cross-functional engineering teams to bring innovative product concepts to life, balancing performance, manufacturability, quality, and compliance from design through validation.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and develop schematics and PCB layouts that support new product development and deliver high-performance electronic solutions.
• Create PCB placement and routing designs that balance functionality, reliability, manufacturability, and product quality.
• Apply industry standards and design rules to ensure compliance with regulatory and engineering requirements.
• Drive engineering changes, design updates, and layout improvements that enhance existing products and accelerate innovation.
• Collaborate with engineers across disciplines to support testing, troubleshooting, design reviews, and successful product delivery.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in ECAD schematic design and PCB layout development within a product development environment.
• Strong understanding of PCB/PCBA manufacturing processes, design rules, and engineering standards.
• Proficiency with Cadence Allegro, Capture, and Sigrity or similar ECAD design tools.
• Ability to interpret engineering schematics, conduct independent design reviews, and ensure design accuracy and quality.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering teams.
