Job summary

ReNew is seeking a seasoned Production Leader for cell manufacturing to focus on cost reduction and optimal machine utilization. You will lead a cluster, drive yield improvements, and coordinate material and manpower to meet targets.

Role requires 8–10 years in large cell component industries, a B.Tech in Electrical/Mechanical, and strong data-driven decision making to reduce losses and ensure quality across shifts.

Qualifications

• Education: B.Tech in Electrical or Mechanical engineering from a reputed college.
• Experience: 8–10 years in a large cell component industry.
• Expertise in cell manufacturing processes and production control.

Responsibilities

• Lead production activities for cell manufacturing, focusing on cost reduction and machine utilization.
• Ensure high yield and productivity through new techniques and methods.
• Develop process improvements for inventory, manufacturing and production control systems.
• Evaluate production control activities to meet customer specifications and CTQ.
• Maintain cell quality parameters; manage wastage and losses.
• Meet daily, weekly and monthly production targets with quality.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement immediate remedial actions.
• Balance mass and inventory, evaluate vendors, monitor consumption and BOM.
• Drive data analysis and automate shop-floor data collection to improve productivity.
• Collaborate with production teams to modify equipment and facilities standards.

Job Description

Job Purpose

To lead a certain cluster for production activities for cell manufacturing at ReNew with a focus on cost reduction and optimum utilization of Machines training & developing of the system/manpower.

Roles and Responsibilities

• 1. Handling manufacturing of Solar Cell, material management, capacity utilization, manpower management. Should have extensive knowledge of the manufacturing process of the cluster.
• 2. Ensuring high yield, continual productivity improvement of the cluster by implementing new techniques.
• 3. Developing process improvements for inventory, manufacturing & production control systems.
• 4. Evaluating production control activities to ensure that final product meets customer specifications. 5. Responsible for maintaining cell critical to quality parameters (CTQ) such as conversation loss/yield loss and control wastages.
• 6. Formulating & Achieving shift & daily, weekly & monthly production target while maintaining quality standards.
• 8. Successfully reduce cost & losses/utilized equipment capacity.
• 9. Conducting root cause analysis on the production activities & taking immediate remedial actions.
• 10. Performing mass balancing & accounting of inventory, conducting vendor evaluation, assessing daily consumption and ensuring zero stoppage due to BOM & consumables.
• 11. Excellence in Data analysis, automation of shop floor data collection to reduce human errors and increase productivity.
• 12. Proven success in working with production teams to define technical specifications for altering existing equipment & facilities.
• 13. Proficiency in formulating & executing production and manpower schedules / plans for smooth execution of projects within time & cost parameters.

Profile & Eligible Criteria

• Education: B. Tech(Electrical/ Mechanical) from a reputed engineering college
• Experience: At least 08-10 years’ of relevant post qualification experience in large cell component industry
