Job Purpose

Responsible for the operation of the assigned cluster w.r.t production, quality, safety, cost, delivery etc. Manage all aspects of work with collaborating with the shift engineer for delivery and exceeding the KPI indicators within operation. Strive to continuously improve using Lean tools to reduce cost, improve production & quality. Decision & results have an impact on its function & its result.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Monitor cluster daily/monthly production targets & projects.
• Maintain discipline and order on the line, providing feedback to Shift Manager/Production HOD on any violation of regulations.
• Communicate with team members; delivering shift briefs with focus on quality, cost and delivery, gathering ideas for improvement.
• Close all safety and product loss related actions.
• Ensure compliance with all external and internal audit standards as per company requirements.
• Monitor, control, and recognize the performance of cluster operators & shift engineer.
• Lead daily shift activity, briefing seniors, and communicate with operators as required.
• Manage implementation of engineering changes, production trials, and model change.
• Take immediate actions during shift to close any issues related to safety.
• Train & develop team members/operators.
• Lead focus on customer concerns, identify and eliminate root causes.
• Analyze cluster MIS reports and discuss improvements with team.
• Conduct daily meeting with cluster team members.
• Engage in continuous improvement in yield, throughput, and drive cost reduction projects.
• Respond and ensure actions against customer complaints.
• Keep up-to-date on new external developments on solar cell processes.

Required Skills

• Knowledge and hands-on experience of Wet Chemistry production & equipment from suppliers like SC China, RENA, Schmid & Kingenious for Texturing, Polishing, Cleaning etc.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience of Thermal production and equipment from suppliers like SC China & Centrotherm for Diffusion / Annealing / Oxidation / PECVD etc.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience of Laser production and equipment from suppliers like Maxwell, DR Laser & Innolas for Laser Doped Selective Emitter & Laser Contact Opening.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience of Metallization line production & equipment from supplier like AMAT, Maxwell & ASYS for Metallization / Firing / LID Regenerator / IV & EL Tester.
• Ability to sustain and develop team working and team-based problem solving.
• Possess the ability to lead and motivate a team of people to succeed by utilizing appropriate interpersonal styles.
• Knowledge about Six Sigma Methodologies, Kaizen, QC tools.
• Good presentation, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good knowledge about MS-word, Excel.
