Job summary

ReNew in Maharashtra is seeking an Engineer for Solar O&M (Self O&M) to monitor and maintain utility-scale solar plants. The role focuses on executing preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring safety and improving plant availability and energy generation.

You should hold a BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or related fields, with 1–5 years of hands-on experience on solar projects. The site is Bandarwada, Maharashtra, and you will work on-site with EHS compliance and reporting

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant performance and operate SCADA systems to ensure targets.

• Maintain safety standards and participate in safety drills and audits.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly operational reports and logs.

Job Description

Role - Engineer - Solar O&M (Self O&M)

Qualification: B.E/B.Tech -Electrical Engineering / ECE / ETC / EEE

Experience: 1 to 5 Years

Location - Bandarwada - Maharashtra (Site)

Major Accountabilities and Duties:

1. To support the efficient operation and maintenance of utility-scale solar power plants by monitoring plant performance, executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring safety compliance, and contributing to plant availability and energy generation targets.
2. Monitor solar plant performance through SCADA and other monitoring systems.
3. Track plant generation, performance ratio (PR), and availability parameters.Identify underperforming equipment and report deviations for corrective action.
4. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.

5. Coordinate with contractors and vendors during maintenance activities.Ensure timely closure of maintenance work orders.
6. Follow all EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) procedures and permit-to-work systems. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company safety standards.Participate in safety audits, toolbox talks, and emergency response drills.
7. Analyze plant performance data and identify opportunities for improvement.
8. Support implementation of reliability and optimization initiatives.
9. Assist in root cause analysis of equipment failures and generation losses.
10. Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, and inspection reports.
11. Update asset management systems and maintenance logs.
12. Support internal and external audits with relevant documentation.
