Postman is hiring a senior Automation Testing Engineer in Bengaluru to lead performance testing and own the engineering and product for a key area. You’ll work closely with customers to translate problems into product decisions and own architecture, reliability and scale.

You’ll mentor engineers, collaborate with design and platform teams, and help drive adoption and quality across production releases within a hybrid in-office model in Bangalore.

Competenze

• 6+ years building and shipping production software.
• Experience leading an area as its technical owner, from design through delivery and quality in production.
• A record of building customer-facing products, ideally for developers or other engineers.
• Product judgment: weigh what to build and own outcomes like adoption and reliability.
• Strong backend engineering in Node.js/TypeScript, Go or Java.
• Experience with enterprise needs such as private networks, security reviews and access control.
• Good to have Experience with load-testing tools such as k6, JMeter, Gatling or Locust.
• Experience with API testing, developer tools or test automation.

About the team

Automation Testing builds how developers test and automate their APIs, from local runs and CI pipelines to scheduled and large-scale runs in the cloud.

About the role

You’ll work across Automation Testing, starting with performance testing: load-testing APIs at scale. As a senior engineer, you’re the lead for your area, and you own the engineering and the product together. You’ll stay close to the customers who use it, most of whom are engineers.
