Job summary

Lincoln Electric is seeking a Senior Engineer - Assembly (Build & Install) to lead assembly planning and execution. You will coordinate with Design, Project Management, Quality, and Controls teams to ensure on-time delivery and safe manufacturing of complex assemblies.

The role requires 5–10 years of experience in assembly and I&C, with Diploma or BE in Mechanical or Electrical, and hands-on familiarity with welding and automation systems. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E. in Mechanical or Electrical is required.
• 5–10 years of experience in assembly and I&C of assembly systems, welding systems, robotic cells, handling systems, SPMs, and EOL testing.
• Good technical knowledge; hands-on experience in assembly and I&C; experience in automotive and non-automotive industries.

Responsibilities

• Collect inputs from Design department for assembly of the project.
• Create assembly plan and discuss with Project Manager; execute it.
• Review assembly plan daily and update Project Manager.
• Vendor follow-up to ensure on-time delivery of shortages/rejected material.
• Escalate concerns or delays with backup plans as needed.
• Oversee assembly manpower management.
• Ensure standard and safe assembly practices.
• Check assemblies against assembly/GA drawings for completeness.
• Support Quality department in inspection activities.
• Coordinate with controls team for power-on activity.

Job Responsibilities

• Collect required inputs from Design department for assembly of the project
• Make assembly plan, discuss with Project Manager & execute the same

Long Description

Trials & Buy off

• Collect the trial parts along with inspection reports from customer
• Highlight the deviations if any in trial parts
• Take dry run trials of the system
• Conduct welding / assembly trials with part
• Prepare the sang list during Buy off with customer
• Close all the sang points and communicate to PM or customer
• Dismantling the system after customer approval
• Packing & dispatch management

Job Requirements

Qualification: Diploma/B.E.(Mechanical / Electrical)

Experience: 5 to 10 years in Assembly and I&C of assembly systems, welding systems, robotic cell, handling systems, SPMs, EOL testing

Additional requirements:

• Good technical knowledge
• Hands on experience of Assembly and I&C of assembly and welding systems
• Experience in automotive as well as non-automotive industry
