Job summary

Brillio in Bengaluru seeks a Senior Engineer, Applications & Platforms to design and implement the AI integration layer, MCP architecture, and secure tool orchestration across enterprise systems.

You will develop MCP server capabilities, define tool schemas, and enforce authentication with OAuth2/OIDC while ensuring scalable, governed integrations in a multi-tenant environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience with integration middleware (Mulesoft, Boomi, Workato) and in building integration platforms.
• Strong API design and management capabilities for enterprise systems.
• Experience with authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth2/OIDC).
• Knowledge of multi-tenant secure integration architectures and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the AI integration layer, including MCP architecture and MCP Gateway, to enable connectivity between AI agents and enterprise systems.
• Develop and maintain MCP server and tool registration, discovery, and lifecycle management for robust workflows.
• Define and manage tool schemas, capabilities, mapping platform functions to MCP tools to avoid redundant integrations.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and session management using OAuth2/OIDC and service-to-service auth.

Senior Engineer, Applications & Platforms

Experience Range:

7+ years of hands‑on experience in integration middleware platforms, including Mulesoft, Boomi, Workato, or similar tools, with demonstrated expertise in application and platform development

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement the AI integration layer, including MCP architecture and MCP Gateway, to enable seamless connectivity between AI agents and enterprise systems
• Develop and maintain MCP server and tool registration, discovery, and lifecycle management capabilities to ensure robust integration workflows
• Define and manage tool schemas, capabilities, and map existing platform functionalities into governed MCP tools to eliminate redundant integrations
• Implement authentication, authorization, and session management using OAuth2/OIDC and service-to-service authentication protocols
• Build and enforce agent registration, identity, and permission models to support secure agent-to-tool authorization and data-access policies
• Create and manage risk classifications, policy-based limits, quotas, and human-in-the-loop approval workflows for high-risk actions
• Develop and maintain comprehensive audit trails for agent actions and tool calls, ensuring compliance and traceability
• Integrate MCP capabilities with the control plane, orchestration engine, and connector runtime, supporting observability, security, scalability, and production operations

Required Skills:

• Hands‑on experience with Mulesoft Anypoint Platform, Boomi, Workato, or comparable integration middleware tools
• Expertise in API Manager for designing and managing APIs
• Experience with Monitoring and Runtime Manager in integration platforms
• Knowledge of Access Management and security protocols relevant to enterprise integration
• Experience configuring and managing Dedicated Load Balancer or equivalent middleware components
• Proficiency with Anypoint Exchange or similar asset management repositories
• Advanced skills in Python, TypeScript, or Java backend development
• Experience with distributed systems and API architecture in integration environments
• Implementation of authentication and authorization frameworks including OAuth2 and OIDC
• Design and management of secure, multi-tenant integration platforms

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with MCP or similar AI integration frameworks
• Hands‑on expertise in LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or OpenAI-compatible tool calling
• Knowledge of policy engines such as OPA
• Background in AI agent governance and human‑in‑the‑loop systems
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud‑native architecture
• Familiarity with enterprise integration platforms and connector development

Desired Qualifications:
