Senior Engineer, Application Engineering - MFT

Job summary

ICE is seeking an Application Engineer to deliver top-tier support and design for MFT, Axway, Go Anywhere, and LDAP across UNIX and Windows environments. You will ensure high availability, perform root-cause analysis, and drive automation initiatives in both prod and non-prod systems.

The role requires 5+ years of experience with Sterling Integrator/File Gateway, Axway, and Go Anywhere, plus strong scripting and database knowledge.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience in Systems Engineering.
• 5+ years broad experience with Sterling Integrator and File Gateway (MFT and/or EDI), Axway, and/or Go Anywhere.
• 2+ years of Linux Operating Systems (RedHat variants preferred).
• Top-tier analytics and problem solving.
• Strong initiative to learn and assimilate new software/technologies and improve business processes.
• Fundamental knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (2019+).
• Fundamental understanding of the SDLC processes and tools (GIT, Jenkins, Puppet, Ansible, etc).
• Fundamental understanding of Operational Concepts (DR, BCP, Prod vs. Non-Prod).
• Functional Scripting Knowledge (GoLang, Python, Perl, Bash, PowerShell and/or others).
• Understanding of SQL Database concepts (Oracle, MySQL).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced service-oriented team environment.
• Customer focused, and dedicated to the best possible user experience.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and business resources.
• Fluent speaking, reading, and writing in English.
• Preferred: LDAP systems experience and automation tooling like Ansible or Puppet.
