Job summary

1840 Micron Tech. OP India LLP in Hyderabad invites applications for a PhD‑level modeling expert to advance materials, structure, and process modeling supporting memory development. You will work in the AMAIS group, developing models and computational tools across DRAM and NAND nodes.

You will collaborate with AMAIS and product teams, write software, interpret results for engineers, and contribute to reports and conference papers for leaders across the organization.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a related field with 5+ years modeling experience.
• Advanced skills in level set methods for CAD, meshing, DOE, analysis, and rendering.
• Experience in computational geometry, virtual structure modeling, numerical methods and scientific computing.
• Proficiency with Abaqus, ANSYS, Victory Process, SPX, or SEM3D.
• Familiarity with semiconductor process integration and engineering design.
• Knowledge of machine learning and deep learning concepts.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Role Overview

You will work in the Advanced Modeling and AI Solutions (AMAIS) Group in Hyderabad on materials, structure, or process modeling projects that directly support Micron’s critical memory development and manufacturing programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and report models for projects involving materials, structure, or process modeling across multiple DRAM and NAND nodes.
• Collaborate with the AMAIS team and product design/process teams to deploy structure models and provide silicon‑implementation solutions.
• Write software programs, algorithms, and computational modeling tools to extract concrete insights from modeling and data.

Education Requirements

Ph.D. in Applied Mechanics, Applied Physics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields; minimum 5+ years of modeling experience.
