Job summary

Job description

Position Overview

We are looking for a temporary (up to 12 months) member of the Technology – Advanced Modeling and AI Solutions (AMAIS) Group in Hyderabad. The primary responsibility is to support and enable solutions to Micron’s most significant challenges in memory development and manufacturing by working on projects that involve material, structure, or process modeling. The candidate will develop models, report results to the AMAIS team, and collaborate on next steps in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement numerical models for materials, structures, and processes.
• Code, implement, and utilize numerical models using appropriate programming languages.
• Communicate results through reports and presentations to the AMAIS team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to program development.

Qualifications

• Independence – comfortable executing activities and meeting needs.
• Experience in algorithm development, numerical methods, and scientific computing.
• Experience with wet processes, chemical etching and strip, material selectivity, chemistry evaluation, etc.
• Strong background in thermodynamics, physics, and chemistry.
• Experience with computational materials science methodologies.
• Familiarity with machine learning and deep learning concepts and applications.
• Experience with regression, neural networks, and related frameworks.
• Familiarity with process and multi-physics modeling and implementation.
• Experience with common modeling software, prior software development, and Linux.
• Proficiency in Bash, Python, Fortran, or C++.
• Experience with OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL.
• Familiar with plasma and MC modeling.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Experience writing reports and conference papers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work in a team environment and experience with remote collaboration tools.

Education

Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry, Applied Physics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
