Job summary

Carrier Hyderabad is seeking a Senior Engineer to ensure systems run to specifications on small to medium platforms and to calibrate equipment for quality standards. The role involves defining end-to-end test approaches, creating test setups for embedded and connected systems, and collaborating with global teams in an agile environment.

Ideal candidates have a university degree, 3+ years of relevant experience, and knowledge of Carrier programs.

Qualifications

• Requires theoretical to advanced knowledge obtained through a University degree, combined with experience
• A minimum of 3 years prior relevant experience
• Practical knowledge of Carrier organization, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work

Responsibilities

• Creation of the test concept and integrated test strategy for software, hardware, embedded, mobile, HMI, cloud, and system components in an agile development environment.
• Define and drive end-to-end test approaches, test planning, risk assessment, and release readiness activities.
• Determine and analyze requirements for end-to-end test benches.
• Review requirements, assess testability, and ensure traceability between requirements and test cases.
• Create detailed test specifications based on product and system requirements.
• Create suitable E2E test cases to validate functional and non-functional system requirements.
• Define and create test setups for testing embedded, digital, mobile, and connected systems.
• Execute manual and automated tests and analyze results.
• Perform defect identification, root cause analysis, and provide detailed defect reports.
• Create comprehensive test reports and communicate test status to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with defined test processes, quality standards, and development methodologies.
• Collaborate with global cross-functional teams including Development, Product Management, Hardware, and System Engineering

About the role

Ensures that systems run according to necessary specifications on small to medium platforms/projects/systems.

Measures, analyzes and calibrates equipment and processes to ensure quality standard are met on small to medium platforms/projects/systems.

Confirms operations according to necessary regulations to ensure production quality on small to medium platforms/projects/systems.

Documents test results and maintains records for later analysis.
