Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation in Gurugram seeks a Senior Application Engineer with strong experience in DX units, VRF/VRV systems, and AHU integration to support sales and project executions.

You will evaluate cooling loads, select equipment, prepare technical submittals, and generate SAP quotations while ensuring compliance with ASHRAE and ISO standards. Minimum 3–6 years of relevant experience and a Mechanical Engineering degree are required.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–6 years of relevant experience as an application engineer.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and thermodynamics.

Responsibilities

• Receive inquiries from Sales Engineers via phone/email.
• Select and configure DX cooling systems based on loads and energy criteria.
• Design VRF/VRV systems including heat recovery and indoor/outdoor unit compatibility.
• Select FAHU systems and integrate with treated fresh air and humidity control.
• Generate SAP quotations aligned with project specifications.
• Prepare technical submittals with compliance statements and provide clarifications to SE/consultants.
• Engage with customers to resolve technical issues and optimize solutions.

About the Role

Looking for highly talented, organized application engineering professionals who are very strong related to DX Units/VRV/VRF/DX units/FAH/AHU products.

Role Responsibilities

• Receive inquiries from Sales Engineers or Sales Manager via phone / email / by hand.
• 7 to 10 years of proficient experience in selecting and configuring DX cooling systems based on cooling loads, application type, and energy efficiency criteria.
• In‑depth knowledge of VRF system design, including heat recovery, simultaneous heating/cooling applications, and indoor/outdoor unit compatibility.
• Skilled in the application and selection of FAHU systems, including integration with treated fresh air systems and humidity control.
• Generating SAP quotations inline with project specifications.
• Preparing technical submittals with compliance statement Providing technical clarifications / assistance to SE, consultants, customers.
• Customer engagement to resolve technical issues and optimization.
• Assisting to update on the latest software, catalogs and information from Carrier wherever applicable.

Role Purpose

Work closely with sales to understand client needs and deliver optimal solutions. Interpret project specifications and recommend suitable HVAC systems and components. Ensure all solutions meet industry codes (ASHRAE, ISO, local regulations) and energy efficiency standards. Ability to analyze technical submittals, product data sheets, and performance curves to validate equipment suitability.

Minimum Requirements

• Engineering Degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering 3-6 years prior relevant experience as an application Engineer
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and thermodynamics.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts clearly.
• Problem‑solving mindset with attention to detail.
