Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an on-site service engineer to install, maintain and repair dialysis equipment at client sites in the Chennai region. You will train staff and support customers with technical guidance.

You will collaborate with sales teams on technical insights, manage service contracts and parts inventory, and document all activities in Field Service Reports and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical interventions including installation, training, repair, and maintenance to ensure optimal operation of machinery at client sites.
• Engage with customers to deliver technical support and foster strong customer relationships.
• Collaborate with sales and dealer teams by sharing technical insights to enhance sales opportunities.
• Complete required technical training and assessments to continually improve proficiency.
• Achieve service targets by negotiating and securing Service Contracts and spare part sales, while managing related billing.
• Oversee personal inventory of spare parts and tools to ensure adequate stock levels.
• Execute technical tasks assigned by team leadership in a timely and efficient manner.
• Utilize technical management systems to ensure accurate data entry.
• Document all technical activities in Field Service Reports, CRM, and other records.
• Mentor junior engineers through escalation support and customer relationship building.
• Support Area Technical Manager in managing Preventive Maintenance cadence and timely installations.
• Assist other Area Technical Manager locations when Dynamic Resource Allocation is required.

• 5. Achieve service targets by negotiating and securing Service Contracts and spare part sales, while managing billing, invoicing, and accounts receivable related to routine service activities.
• 6. Oversee personal inventory, including spare parts and tools, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper management.
• 7. Execute technical tasks assigned by team leadership in a timely and efficient manner.
• 8. Utilize technical management systems effectively to ensure accurate and complete data entry.
• 9. Document all technical activities thoroughly in Field Service Reports, CRM software, and other prescribed administrative records.
• 10. Mentor junior engineers through technical escalation support and customer relationship building
• 11. Aid and support your Area Technical Manager in managing the cadence of Preventive Maintenance and timely installations
• 12. Support other Area Technical Manager locations when Dynamic Resource Allocation is required and requested by your manager.
