Job summary

Vishay Precision Group, Inc. (VPG) in Chennai seeks a Senior Engineer to join the Maintenance Team within the Foil Division. You will lead maintenance programs, drive uptime improvements and ensure compliance for electrical and mechanical systems.

Requires 8+ years in plant maintenance/engineering, a BE in Electrical & Electronics, and PLC/control systems expertise, with hands-on experience in SPM, welding machines, and automation equipment.

Qualifications

• BE in Electrical & Electronics.
• 8+ years of experience in Plant Maintenance / Plant engineering.
• Strong knowledge of PLC and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, implement and manage Plant Maintenance to improve uptime and MTBF/MTTR.
• Troubleshoot SPM, Welding Machine, Ultrasonic Washer, Oven & Thermal Shock.
• Identify root causes and drive continuous improvement.

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer to join the Maintenance Team within Our Foil Division on a full-time basis.

Major Responsibilities:

• Initiate, Implement and manage Plant Maintenance / Prepare, Analyze and recommend for Plant performance improvement (Machine Uptime (%) , Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) )
• Handling & Trouble shooting knowledge about SPM, Welding Machine, Ultrasonic Washing Machine, Oven & Thermal Shock
• Identifying Root cause, Corrective action & implement continuous process. Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to improve machine uptime, reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Ensure compliance with Electrical & Mechanical System with National & Local Government Rules & Regulations
• Spare management & PM Adherence

Requirements

Academic/Professional Education: BE (ELECTRICAL &, MECTRONICS)

Relevant Experience: 8+ years with experience in Plant Maintenance / Plant engineering

• Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems.
• Equipment Installation and Commissioning.
• Good exposure in Handling with different controllers, Knowledge in Electrical circuits / Servo drives, motors, Encoders, PLC & Control wirings
• Good exposure in VFD, proximity, limit switches temperature controller
• Hands on experience in handling Welding machine, SPM & Conventional equipment’s etc.,
• Good exposure in ISO 9001-2015 & IATF, TPM, why, Root cause, corrective action & 8D analysis
• Exposure in EHS Compliance
