Job summary

Vishay Precision Group, Inc. (VPG) in Chennai, India, is seeking a Senior Engineer to join the Maintenance Team in the Foil Division on a full-time basis.

The role focuses on plant maintenance, performance improvement, root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine uptime and overall equipment effectiveness. The candidate will work on electrical and mechanical systems, spare management, and compliance with local rules and regulations, with exposure to PLC control

Responsibilities

• Initiate, Implement and manage Plant Maintenance / Prepare, Analyze and recommend for Plant performance improvement (Machine Uptime, MTBF, MTTR).
• Handling & Troubleshooting knowledge about SPM, Welding Machine, Ultrasonic Washing Machine, Oven & Thermal Shock.
• Identifying root cause, corrective action & implement continuous process improvements to boost uptime, reliability and OEE.
• Ensure compliance with Electrical & Mechanical System rules & regulations.
• Spare management & PM Adherence.
• Support in 8D root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Major Responsibilities:

Requirements:

Academic/Professional Education: BE (ELECTRICAL &, MECTRONICS)

Relevant Experience: 8+ years with experience in Plant Maintenance / Plant engineering

Technical Skills/Knowledge

• Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance.
• PLC and Control Systems Knowledge.
• Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems.
• Equipment Installation and Commissioning.
• Good exposure in Handling with different controllers, Knowledge in Electrical circuits / Servo drives, motors, Encoders, PLC & Control wirings
• Good exposure in VFD, proximity, limit switches temperature controller
• Hands on experience in handling Welding machine, SPM & Conventional equipment’s etc.,
• Good exposure in ISO 9001-2015 & IATF, TPM, why, Root cause, corrective action & 8D analysis
• Exposure in EHS Compliance
