Job summary

PSP Projects Limited in India is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, create baseline schedules and WBS, and monitor critical paths.

You will track progress, prepare MIS reports and dashboards, coordinate with construction and procurement teams, and assist in resource loading, cost planning, and risk management to help deliver projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to develop detailed project schedules and baselines.
• Experience with critical path analysis and schedule risk mitigation.
• Strong reporting and dashboard creation skills.

Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Scheduling

• Prepare detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Develop baseline schedules, WBS (Work Breakdown Structure), and project timelines.
• Identify critical path activities and monitor schedule risks.

Progress Monitoring

• Track daily, weekly, and monthly progress against baseline plans.
• Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and progress presentations for management review.
• Conduct delay analysis and recovery planning.

Coordination

• Coordinate with construction, engineering, procurement, and subcontract teams to ensure alignment with the project schedule.
• Participate in project review meetings and planning discussions.

Resource & Cost Planning

• Assist in resource loading, manpower planning, and equipment planning.
• Support cost monitoring and productivity analysis in coordination with project controls.

Reporting

• Prepare weekly/monthly planning reports.
• Maintain look-ahead schedules (2-week / 3-week plans).
• Update project schedules and provide early warnings for potential delays.

Risk & Delay Management

• Identify potential schedule risks and mitigation plans.
• Support preparation of Extension of Time (EOT) and claim documentation when required.
