We are seeking a highly skilled Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep technical expertise in end-user hardware and global asset management practices. This role requires hands‑on experience with managing enterprise‑level hardware environments and be a technical authority for end‑user hardware, including laptops and desktops. Deep technical knowledge of PC and desktop hardware, current protocols, operating systems, and industry standards. Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for hardware across diverse. Supporting global team with a specific focus on international locations (outside North America). Supporting the selection of global hardware catalogs. Maintaining the health and accuracy of our Hardware Asset Management Inventory. Supporting the testing and implementation of new hardware models. Participating in projects around the identification and automation of key operational activities with a focus on reducing friction in IT Processes and improving client satisfaction. Working with internal customers to determine and validate hardware specifications. Participating in the design, implementation, and support of a varied portfolio of global Hardware solutions that meet business requirements and are aligned to security and operational standards. Consulting with clients on emerging technology and/or existing solutions. Developing and maintaining vendor relationships with top technical experts. Maintaining and broadening skills/expertise in different technology areas, staying in touch with changing technologies.
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution OR High School diploma/GED or higher AND 8 years of IT experience 5 years supporting
