Job summary

Confidentiel in Mumbai is seeking an Assistant Manager/Manager – Electrical / Electronics (Projects) to lead electrical, electronics and instrumentation project execution at a leading automotive giant’s manufacturing plant.

The role requires 5–10 years of experience and a BE/BTech in Electrical or Electronics; you will oversee installation, commissioning, PLC programming, and drawing reviews, while managing a team of diploma engineers and contractors to ensure safety, quality and on-time

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in electrical or electronics project execution.
• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics is required.
• Team size includes 5–8 Diploma Engineers and 2–3 electrical contractors.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical and instrumentation project execution including installation and commissioning.
• Work on PLC programming, troubleshoot and wire electrical systems.
• Review electrical drawings, prepare SLDs, perform power calculations and bid evaluations.
• Coordinate and lead electrical contractors and engineering consultants.
• Plan milestones, monitor progress and timelines.
• Monitor project budget of ₹40–50 crore and validate contractor bills.
• Coordinate procurement of erection materials.
• Ensure safety and quality per specs and standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Project execution: Manage electrical and instrumentation equipment installation and commissioning.
• Technical expertise: Work on PLC programming, troubleshooting, equipment wiring and electrical systems.
• Engineering and design: Review electrical drawings, prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), perform power calculations and evaluate technical bids.
• Contractor management: Coordinate and lead electrical contractors and engineering consultants.
• Planning and scheduling: Track project milestones, progress and completion timelines.
• Budget management: Monitor the ₹40–50 crore project budget and evaluate contractor bills.
• Procurement: Plan electrical erection materials and coordinate procurement.
• Safety and quality: Ensure equipment installation follows technical specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.
