Job summary

Wakefit Innovations seeks an experienced Electrical Design & Project Engineer to plan, design, and oversee Greenfield electrical systems for large-scale facilities. The role focuses on SLDs, panel layouts, and cable routing, ensuring safe, compliant, and timely project delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, extensive Greenfield project exposure, AutoCAD skills, and strong coordination with multiple stakeholders to achieve high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 68 years of experience in Greenfield industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, or commercial infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical panels, transformers, HT/LT systems, power distribution, and commissioning.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with Indian electrical standards, statutory approvals, and safety regulations.
• Strong project coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute electrical systems for Greenfield projects up to 100,000 sq. ft.
• Prepare and review electrical layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), panel layouts, and cable routing.
• Manage installation, testing, and commissioning of HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets, UPS systems, and distribution networks.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely project execution.
• Conduct electrical load calculations, cable sizing, and equipment selection.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, statutory regulations, and quality requirements.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and contractor performance.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues during project execution and recommend effective solutions.
• Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and project documentation.
• Support handover activities and ensure smooth commissioning of facilities.
