We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Panel Design & Costing Engineer to join our electrical panel manufacturing team in Pune. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in electrical panel design, AutoCAD drafting, BOQ/BOM preparation, component selection, panel costing, and production coordination. The role requires the ability to independently design and engineer a wide range of LT electrical panels while coordinating with production, vendors, and customers throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
- Develop General Arrangement (GA) drawings
- Design power and control wiring diagrams
- Generate cable schedules and ferrule schedules
- Prepare BOQ and BOM based on project requirements
- Review customer enquiries, BOQs, tender documents, and technical specifications
- Select appropriate electrical components including ACBs, MCCBs, MCBs, MPCBs, contactors, relays, meters, CTs, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, and APFC components
- Design panel layouts considering space utilization, wiring, heat dissipation, cable entry, and ease of maintenance
- Support the costing team with accurate material quantities and technical inputs
- Coordinate with vendors for technical datasheets, specifications, and quotations
- Work closely with fabrication, wiring, and production teams during manufacturing
- Review customer comments and update drawings accordingly
- Prepare final as-built drawings after project completion
- Support FAT, routine testing, inspections, and client approvals
