Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Limited is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the design of commercial vehicle EV powertrain components, including motor, inverter, reducer, and e-axle. The role requires hands-on EV vehicle experience and strong cross-functional collaboration across proto, validation, suppliers, and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics or related engineering.
• 3–5 years of automotive OEM experience.
• Experience in EV powertrain design and validation processes.
• Strong communication and analytical skills, with cross-functional collaboration.
• Knowledge of automotive embedded systems and hardware/software interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Design EV powertrain components: motor, inverter, reducer, and e-axle.
• Provide hands-on EV vehicle experience and technical support to proto, validation, and manufacturing teams.
• Coordinate and lead design reviews and root cause analysis of interface issues.
• Support to suppliers for component specifications, definitions, and validation.
• Contribute to product improvements and cost reduction initiatives.

Job description

Senior Engineer - PTD MTBD Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Design of Commercial vehicle Electric powertrain (including Motor, Inverter, Reducer, e-axle)
• Hands on experience on EV vehicle.
• Support to Proto team, validation team, suppliers and manufacturing for component specifications, definition and validation.
• Provide technical support and system analysis for root cause analysis of interface issues
• Coordinate, lead and participate in design reviews
• Expertise in the following areas: Motor characteristics and sizing, inverter characteristics and fuctions, DTC and its reactions, EV Reducer and EV axle design considerations and sizing.
• To suggest improvements with respect to product improvement, cost reduction etc

Experience 3-5 Years Industry Preferred Automotive OEM Qualifications B.E , B.Tech, M.E./M.Tech in Electrical and Electronics /Electronics and communications/ Electrical and Instrumentation engineering
