Job summary

BEST-FIT Recruitment Riders invites applications for an Executive - EHS on a Green Field Project at Dahej. The role focuses on planning and implementing environmental, health, and safety systems to ensure regulatory compliance in a hazardous chemical environment.

The ideal candidate will have 3–6 years of experience in chemicals/petrochemicals, strong knowledge of EHS laws, ISO standards, risk assessment and incident investigations, along with good communication and training delivery skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma Engineering / BE / B.Tech (Chemical) / B.Sc. / M.Sc. (Environmental Science, Chemistry) or related field or Diploma in Industrial Safety with 3–6 yrs experience.
• Strong knowledge of EHS legal requirements, ISO standards, chemical safety, and industry best practices.
• Well versed with Risk assessment & incident investigation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and maintain environmental, health, and safety systems at Dahej site.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and conduct risk assessments, training, audits and incident investigations.
• Maintain EHS documentation and support ISO 14001/45001 audits.

Key Responsibilities:

The EHS Executive will be responsible for planning, implementing and maintaining environmental, health, and safety systems and practices at Dahej Green Field Project site. The role involves ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting risk assessments, training, audits, and supporting a culture of safety and sustainability in a hazardous chemical environment.

Job Profile:

• Monitor and ensure full compliance with environmental regulations & internal safety standards. (GPCB, CPCB consent conditions, hazardous waste rules, air/water emissions standards).
• Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
• Monitor pollution control equipment and hazardous waste management.
• Organize safety trainings, fire drills, and toolbox talks.
• Implement safe work permit systems, behavior-based safety, and contractor safety management during construction and plant activities
• Track and report EHS performance metrics regularly.
• Maintain EHS documentation and support ISO 14001/45001 audits.
• Ensure readiness of fire protection systems, evacuation procedures, and first-aid arrangements
• Liaise with government bodies for approvals and renewals.
• Promote a strong safety culture among plant personnel.
• Maintain accurate EHS performance data and metrics (e.g., incident rates, near misses, compliance checklists).
• Prepare periodic EHS performance reports for site leadership and corporate review.

Desired Profile:

• Diploma Engineering / BE / B.Tech (Chemical) / B.Sc. / M.Sc.(Environmental Science, Chemistry) or related field or Diploma in Industrial Safety with 3 to 6 yrs experience in Chemicals / Speciality Chemicals / Petrochemicals / Oil & Gas industries.
• Strong knowledge of EHS legal requirements, ISO standards, chemical safety, and industry best practices.
• Well versed with Risk assessment & incident investigation.
• Exposure in Greenfield projects would preferred.
• Skills in ISO 14001/45001 documentation.
• Communication & audit handling.
• MS Office & EHS tools proficiency
• Pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and training delivery skills.
