Job summary

Alten is seeking a High-Speed PCB Design Engineer in Bangalore to design and validate high-speed multilayer PCBs using Altium Designer. You will handle DDR4/DDR5, LPDDR, PCIe, MIPI, and Ethernet interfaces, with emphasis on SI/PI, EMI/EMC compliance and manufacturability.

You will generate and verify Gerber, CAM, and panel files, and collaborate with manufacturing to resolve design challenges. A degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering is required, with 5–8 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of PCB design experience.
• Experience with high-speed, multilayer PCBs.
• Proficient in Altium Designer and PCB manufacturing basics.
• Ability to define stack-up and recommend design optimizations.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-speed, multilayer PCBs using Altium Designer.
• Work on DDR4/DDR5, LPDDR, PCIe, MIPI 10Gb+ and Ethernet interfaces.
• Place components, route, create libraries, perform DRC, and clear errors.
• Define PCB stack-up based on SI/PI and EMI/EMC needs.
• Support SI/PI analysis and implement design recommendations.
• Ensure designs meet DFM/DFT/DFX and EMI/EMC requirements.
• Generate Gerber, manufacturing, STEP/DXF and panel files.
• Perform CAM/DFM verification with Valor and validate files.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to resolve design/production issues.
• Review changes and suggest manufacturability enhancements.

Job Description – High-Speed PCB Design Engineer

Experience: 5–8 Years

Location: Bangalore

Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and develop high-speed, multilayer PCBs using Altium Designer.


2. Work on high-speed interfaces including DDR4/DDR5, LPDDR, PCIe, MIPI 10Gb+ and Ethernet. Perform component placement, routing, library creation, DRC setup and error clearance.


3. Define and recommend PCB stack-up based on SI/PI and EMI/EMC requirements.


4. Support Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) analysis and implement design recommendations.


5. Ensure PCB designs comply with DFM/DFT/DFX and EMI/EMC requirements.


6. Generate and verify Gerber, manufacturing, STEP/DXF and panelization files.


7. Perform CAM/DFM verification using Valor and support manufacturing file validation.


8. Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams to resolve design and production-related issues.


9. Review PCB design changes and provide recommendations for improved manufacturability and performance.
