Qualifications

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Dietetics, Food & Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a multispecialty hospital.
• Strong knowledge of therapeutic and clinical nutrition.
• Excellent counseling, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess the nutritional status of inpatients and outpatients.
• Design and implement individualized diet plans based on medical conditions and treatment goals.
• Provide dietary counseling for patients with diabetes, renal disorders, cardiac conditions, obesity, GI disorders and other conditions.
• Monitor patient progress and modify nutritional interventions as required.
• Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff and other healthcare professionals regarding patient nutrition management.
• Conduct nutritional screening and assessments for admitted patients.
• Ensure food quality, hygiene and compliance with hospital dietary standards.
• Educate patients and attendants on healthy eating habits and therapeutic diets.
• Maintain accurate patient nutrition records and reports.
