Required Skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Counsel and educate individuals and groups on appropriate diets, menu planning and preparation of food to treat an illness or disease and/or to enhance and maintain optimum health.
• Manage patient food services in the Hospital
• Plan appropriate diets and menus to meet the needs of individuals whose medical condition can be treated or controlled by diet therapy.
• Consult with medical practitioners and other health professionals to manage the dietary and nutritional needs of clients/patients.
• Respond promptly to customer needs and service requests, and should be able to manage difficult or emotional customer situations.
• Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, seek assistance from the Physician, Sr. Dietitian / Head of Food Services when immediate resolution is not forthcoming.
• Speak clearly and precisely, use a friendly, courteous tone of voice, and also write legibly & informatively.
