Job summary

Chubb India seeks a Senior Software Engineer - DevSecOps in Bangalore to advance CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and containerize solutions in a cloud-enabled setting.

The candidate should have 5–8 years in DevSecOps, strong Jenkins/Groovy scripting, Python or Ruby, and experience with Azure or other clouds. You will collaborate across teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Overall experience 5–8 years.
• 2+ years of Jenkins pipeline scripting (Groovy) with shared libraries.
• 2+ years Python or Ruby.
• Experience with Java or .NET coding is preferable.
• 1+ years Linux or equivalent shell.
• 1+ years Ansible and/or Terraform or similar automation.
• 1+ years in a public cloud offering (Azure).
• 1+ years Docker & Kubernetes.
• Exposure to Gen AI is preferable.
• Experience with Software Development.
• Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Automate CI/CD processes including build and deploy using standard tools.
• Design and test scripted patterns for partners across Owners, Infra, Architects, Security, Compliance.
• Maintain modern SDLC lifecycles including Git as SCM.
• Work with container technologies: Docker and Kubernetes.
• Communicate clearly and influence peers; multi-task in fast-paced environments.

Role Overview

We are seeking highly collaborative, creative and intellectually curious DevSecOps CICD Engineers who are passionate about forming and implementing cutting-edge computing capabilities. As a member of the Chubb Enterprise DevSecOps team you will champion the advancement of automation, display a deep technical understanding of cloud capabilities and contribute to application delivery, Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) platforms, using existing and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Prior experience automating CICD processes including build and deploy, inside a standard tool such as Jenkins;
• Design, implement, and test scripted patterns to satisfy a wide array of partners including application Owners, Infrastructure, Architects, Security and Compliance;
• Modern SDLC lifecycle skillset including use of git or similar SCM;
• Experience in container technologies: Docker and/or Kubernetes;
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to present, persuade and influence peers;
• Experience with cloud-based offerings and knowledge of container technologies: Docker and/or Kubernetes;
• Energetic, self-directed, and self-motivated, able to build and sustain long-term relationships in a fast-paced, multi-directional work environment;
• Show exceptional analytical skills, able to apply expertise to drive technical solutions;
• Demonstrate an ability to multitask and pivot for evolving requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Overall experience from 5 to 8 years
• 2+ years of experience with strong Jenkins pipeline scripting (Groovy) with shared libraries concept
• 2+ years of experience with a scripting language like Python or Ruby
• Experience with any object-oriented language (Java, .NET) coding is preferrable
• 1+ years of experience of Linux or equivalent command line shell
• 1+ years of Ansible and/or Terraform or similar automation
• 1+ years of experience in a public cloud offering, migrating or building tools and applications in Azure
• 1+ years of experience of Docker & Kubernetes
• Exposure to Gen AI is preferrable
• Experience with Software Development
• Deep understanding of the Agile development methodology

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
