Job summary

Blackbuck Insights is seeking a seasoned DevSecOps and Cloud Engineering leader in Bengaluru to architect and oversee secure, automated CI/CD pipelines and IaC across production like environments. You will mentor teams and drive platform reliability and security posture.

The role requires hands-on execution and cross‑functional collaboration with Security, Data Engineering, and Application teams to deliver scalable cloud infrastructure on GCP.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, SRE, or related engineering disciplines.
• 3+ years in a senior/lead DevSecOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering capacity.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise GCP environments.
• Proven experience leading cloud infrastructure automation using Terraform.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, IAM, and enterprise architecture.
• Experience working across Security, DevOps, Data Engineering, Application Development, and Architecture teams.
• GCP, Terraform, Kubernetes, Security, or DevSecOps certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, implementation, and optimization of DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.
• Establish GitLab branching, MR, code-review, approval, deployment, rollback, and release-management standards.
• Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines across development, test, staging, and production environments.
• Design and manage IaC using Terraform, including reusable modules and state management.
• Lead GCP cloud engineering initiatives focused on scalability, reliability, security, and efficiency.
• Design and implement cloud networking including VPCs, security perimeters, firewalls, load balancers, DNS, private connectivity, TLS/SSL certificates.
• Implement IAM strategies, including RBAC, least privilege, service accounts, workload identity, and access governance.
• Partner with SecOps to integrate vulnerability management, security scanning, monitoring, incident response, and controls into the SDLC.
• Lead infrastructure and platform engineering for lakehouse and data-engineering environments.
• Support GCS, BigQuery, Starburst/Trino, and other data sources.
• Architect and support Starburst Enterprise Platform / Starburst Galaxy, including Trino engines and data virtualization.
• Integrate Starburst/Trino with Iceberg, BigQuery, GCS, and enterprise data sources.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, architecture guidance, code reviews, and production support across DevOps, Security, Cloud, and Data Engineering teams.
• Drive automation, standardization, platform reliability, security posture, and continuous improvement.

• Integrate Starburst/Trino with Iceberg, BigQuery, GCS,databases, and enterprise data sources.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, architecture guidance,code reviews, and production support across DevOps, Security, Cloud, andData Engineering teams.
