Job summary

Zymr Systems is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to architect and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP. The role emphasizes building robust CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and automated operations for microservices and serverless workloads.

The ideal candidate will design reliable deployment platforms, implement security & monitoring, and collaborate with product teams to drive efficiency and cost optimisation.

Qualifications

• 3-8 years hands-on experience in DevOps/Cloud Engineering.
• Strong experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, IaC tools (Terraform), Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.
• Experience with microservices and serverless architectures.
• Good understanding of cloud networking, IAM, OIDC, security, and Linux.
• Experience with monitoring and logging platforms.
• Proficiency in Shell and/or Python scripting.
• Exposure to AI/ML platforms and AI-assisted DevOps tools.
• Experience using Generative AI/LLMs to improve automation, troubleshooting, documentation, or developer productivity.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
• Develop reusable Terraform modules and implement Infrastructure as Code best practices.
• Manage Docker and Kubernetes environments including K8s and EKS, AKS or GKE.
• Work with microservices and serverless architectures such as Lambda, Azure Functions, and Google Cloud Functions.
• Manage cloud services including compute, networking, storage, databases, API gateways, load balancers, CDN, and monitoring services.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK, New Relic, or similar tools.
• Implement cloud security, IAM, secrets management, network security, and DevSecOps practices.
• Collaborate with development, QA, security, and architecture teams to improve reliability and deployment efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for performance, scalability, reliability, and cloud cost optimisation.
