Job summary

Goodfit in Pune, India, is seeking a Senior Production Support / DevOps Engineer to support and operate Java-based platforms. The role focuses on reliability, cloud operations, and observability across Azure environments, collaborating with development teams to ensure stability and performance.

You will enable application resilience by troubleshooting, log analysis, API support, and AKS operations, while coordinating deployments and incidents within Agile delivery teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Production Support or DevOps for enterprise Java apps.
• Hands-on support for Java applications, including log analysis.
• Experience with Unix/Linux systems.
• Experience supporting APIs and service-based architectures.
• Strong Azure expertise including AKS and cloud services.
• Monitoring/observability tools such as Dynatrace.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support for business-critical Java apps, ensuring availability and reliability.
• Troubleshoot, perform log analysis, and conduct root-cause investigations.
• Monitor REST APIs and distributed application components.
• Operate and support applications deployed on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Manage cloud services on Microsoft Azure and Snowflake environments.
• Execute deployments, releases, and environment validation; handle incidents via ServiceNow.

we are looking for a Senior Production Support / DevOps Engineer to support and operate enterprise Java-based platforms in close collaboration with development teams. This role focuses on application reliability, cloud operations, and observability, ensuring stable, secure, and performant systems across Azure environments.

The position sits within the same delivery unit as Java developers, acting as a key link between development, cloud, and operations.

Job Description

In this role, you will:

• Provide production support for business-critical applications, ensuring availability,
• performance, and reliability.
• Work closely with Java development teams to support application troubleshooting,
• including log analysis and root cause investigation.
• Support and monitor REST APIs and distributed application components.
• Operate and support applications deployed on Azure Kubernetes (AKS).
• Manage and support cloud services on Microsoft Azure, including:
• Support Snowflake environments for data access and operational troubleshooting.
• Perform Unix/Linux operational tasks and environment-level troubleshooting.
• Execute and support DevOps processes, including deployments, releases, and
• environment validation.
• Implement and use monitoring and observability practices to proactively identify
• Handle incidents, service requests, and changes using ServiceNow.
• Manage batch processing and scheduling activities using Control-M.
• Maintain technical and operational documentation in Confluence.
• Use GitHub and Azure DevOps (ADO) for source control, pipelines, and collaboration.
• Collaborate within Agile delivery teams and contribute to continuous service
• improvement.

Mandatory Skills Must-haves

• At least 5 years of strong experience in Production Support / DevOps roles within
• Hands-on experience supporting Java applications, including troubleshooting and log
• analysis.
• Experience with Unix/Linux systems is a good-to-have.
• Experience supporting APIs and service-based architectures.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, including:
• Proficiency in SQL
• Experience with GitHub
• Good understanding of DevOps practices and operational workflows.
• Experience with Monitoring and Observability tools, preferably Dynatrace.
• Experience with Snowflake is a good to have (available to upskill)
