Job summary

Rutamsoft Technologies Llp in Pune is seeking a senior DevOps engineer to design and deploy scalable, highly available enterprise software across geographies. You will lead cloud deployments, automate CI/CD, and optimize infrastructure for reliability and cost.

The role requires strong Linux administration, Docker/Kubernetes, IaC, monitoring, and security practices, with collaboration across development and IT teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of DevOps experience deploying web/cloud enterprise software.
• Strong cloud platform experience (AWS or Azure) in production environments.
• Must have Linux server administration and production web-server know-how.
• Solid understanding of high availability, load balancing, and health checks.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, automated deployments, and release management.
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes; IaC exposure with Terraform/Ansible.
• Strong scripting in Python/Bash/PowerShell and automation skills.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and performance analysis tools.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop and deploy architecture for scalable enterprise level software application that has high availability across all geographies
2. Maintain Production , infrastructure and application availability
3. Monitor application performance and server health.
4. Configure and optimize load balancing.
5. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
6. Automate application deployment on multiple servers
7. Manage production releases with minimal downtime.
8. Establish proactive alerting for potential failures.
9. Manage backups and disaster recovery
10. Manage Regular database updates
11. Optimize cloud infrastructure and server costs.
12. Improve security and patch management
13. Maintain infrastructure documentation.
14. Participate in troubleshooting production incidents.
15. Continuously improve system reliability and scalability.

Desired Skills:

1. Bachelor/Masters in Computer Science/Engineering
2. Min 5-7 yrs dev ops experience in deploying web/ cloud based enterprise level software (more experience is desirable)
3. Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms, AWS or Microsoft Azure
4. Solid understanding of Linux server administration and production web-server environments is MUST
5. Experience with load balancing, reverse proxies, traffic management, health checks, and high-availability configurations.
6. Strong knowledge of web application architecture, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, firewalls, and networking.
7. Experience designing and maintaining, deploying scalable and fault-tolerant production environment is MUST
8. Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, Git, automated deployments, and release management.
9. Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized applications; Kubernetes experience is a plus.
10. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
11. Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages.
12. Experience with database performance monitoring, optimization, backup, replication, and recovery.
13. Knowledge of Redis or other caching technologies and techniques for reducing application and database load.
14. Experience with application and infrastructure monitoring, centralized logging, alerting, and performance analysis.
15. Familiarity with tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK/OpenSearch, Datadog, CloudWatch, or Azure Monitor.
16. Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, access controls, vulnerability management, patching, WAF, and secrets management.
17. Experience implementing backup, disaster recovery, failover, and business continuity strategies.
18. Ability to troubleshoot complex production performance, availability, networking, and infrastructure issues.
19. Understanding of capacity planning, resource utilization, scalability, and cloud cost optimization.
20. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential production issues.
21. Ability to document infrastructure, processes, configurations, and recovery procedures.
22. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with developers, database administrators, IT teams, and management
