Job summary

Bluehost is seeking a senior DevOps engineer to design, build, and operate Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure across multiple clouds. You will own IaC with Terraform, manage Git-based environments, and develop CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Argo for dozens of services.

You will drive release management, configure web servers, and implement observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/Loki. Expect on-call rotations and continuous reliability improvements across cloud/on-prem

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building and operating Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure across multiple cloud providers.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Git workflows.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and Argo.
• Ability to drive release and deployment management, including progressive rollouts and rollback strategies.
• Experience configuring and hardening web servers (Apache/Nginx).
• Experience with observability tooling: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Loki, and alerting.
• Ability to use AI across delivery lifecycle with guardrails for code review, licensing, and data handling.
• Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, and load balancing across cloud/on-prem.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and postmortem-driven improvements.

• Configure and harden web servers (Apache/Nginx), virtual hosts, and SSL/TLS across environments
• Build out observability, metrics, tracing, and log aggregation (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Loki), with real alerting that catches issues before customers do
• Use AI across the delivery lifecycle – scripting, infrastructure code, root-cause investigation, and runbooks – and set guardrails for review, provenance, and data handling
• Own networking fundamentals in production: TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls (iptables/nftables), and load balancing across cloud and on-prem environments
• Carry on-call rotation, lead incident response, and turn postmortems into concrete reliability improvements
